Bombay Sapphire Gin:
 

History:

Bombay gets its name Sapphire from its popularity in India during the British Raj, the Sapphire is the Star of Bombay which is on display at the Smithsonian. The bottle has a picture of Queen Victoria on the label.
the liquor is made from 10 botanicals: almond, lemon peel, liquorice, juniper berries, orris root, angelica, coriander, cassia, cubeb, and grains of paradise. The alcohol is distilled and the steam runs through a mesh holding the botanicals. Water from the lake is added to lower the alcohol content down.

Recipes:

April's Violet: 1 1/2 oz. Bombay Sapphire Gin, 2 tsp. Blue Curacao, 3 drops Grenadine.
Mix over ice, stir and strain into a chilled Martini glass.

Bacardi Dragon Berry Long Island: 3/4 part Bacardi Dragon Berry Rum, 3/4 part Vodka, 3/4 part Bombay Sapphire Gin, 3/4 part Triple Sec, 3/4 part Lemon Juice, 1 part Simple Syrup, Cola.
Shake all ingredients except coke with ice. Strain into a tall glass filled with fresh ice, then top with coke. Garnish with a lemon wedge.

Bombay Sapphire Cupid: 1 oz. Bombay Sapphire Gin, 1/4 oz. Elderflower Syrup, 3 drop Rose Water, Champagne Rose.
In a martini glass add 1/4 oz elderflower syrup, 3 drops rose water, and a dash of bitters. Add 1 oz chilled Bombay Sapphire and top off with chilled rose champagne. Over the top sprinkle edible gold leaf flakes.

Sapphire Citrus: 1 1/2 part Bombay Sapphire Gin, 1 part Grapefruit Juice, 1/2 part Orange Liqueur, 1/2 oz. Lemon Juice.
Shake ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled martini cocktail glass.

Sapphire Solstice: 1 oz. Bombay Sapphire Gin, 3 Strawberries diced, 3 chunks Cucumber, 1/2 oz. Tea Green, 1 oz. Lemonade.
Muddle the strawberries and cucumber in the bottom of a highball glass. Fill the glass with ice then build in the remaining ingredients. Stir well with a bar spoon and garnish with a slice of cucumber.

Sapphire Raspberry Mint: 1 1/2 part Bombay Sapphire Gin, 1/2 Lemon, 1 dash Simple Syrup, 5 Raspberries, 4 Mint Leaves, Club Soda.
In a tall glass, muddle the raspberries and mint leaves. Fill the glass with ice and squeeze in the juice from half a lemon. Add simple syrup and Bombay sapphire Gin and mix thoroughly. Top with club soda or lemon-lime soda. Garnish with a sprig of mint.

The Clementina: 1/2 part(s) Drambuie Liqueur, 1 part Bombay Sapphire Gin, 1 dash Honey Syrup, 1 dash Lemon Syrup, 1 splash Grapefruit Juice, 1 dash Fee Brothers Grapefruit Bitters.
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and add ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a chilled martini cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange twist.
